Instrument lessons
"I've always wanted to play the..."
Within school and privately we teach children how to play musical instruments. After working with ACEG music, schools are realising record numbers of children engaged in weekly instrument lessons held within school time. This has fantastic effects on pupils performance in other subjects. Making weekly instrument lessons available to pupils contributes to school performances and assemblies which are all great ways to build up self esteem in young people.
Lesson features
"Every child matters"
We have a strong resolve to improve the way music is taught to young people. We feel that by tailoring our teaching to the pupil, young people will have a better shot at learning to play an instrument. Music education is not reserved for an 'elite group of people'. It is for all to enjoy and benefit from. By using certificates of achievement, detailed progress reports and a positive attitude our pupils keep a high level of enthusiasm for learning and practice.
A choice of instruments
Having talented tutors in Piano, Keyboard, Guitar and Drums we are able to offer a selection of instrument tuition to schools and parents. If you are interested in the tuition of any of these instruments please do not hesitate to contact us.
Lesson formats
Some young people respond really well to instrument lessons held in a group setting. In fact studies show that shared lessons often result in an interaction between pupils contributing positively to the learning process. Equally one to one tuition is sometimes a better option for some learning styles. We offer both one to one and group instrument lessons.
Audio production's
Audio recordings of lessons and practice pieces are great ways of boosting self esteem and helping parent's/careers to monitor a pupils progress. These recordings are put onto a CD for you to treasure forever (Parental consent is required).
Computer music production
ACEG computer music production workshops and tuition. With some instruments this may be introduced into lessons i.e recording a practiced piece and applying effects like reverb or delay. This is really good fun. Learn more
